On 27 June 2026, Bakcsó Természetjáró, Természetvédő, Kulturális és Szabadidősport Egyesület held the sixth Lúci Túra, once again demonstrating how hiking can build community, encourage active leisure and connect generations.
The event was supported through ‘Kapcsolódjunk a Természethez – Fiatalok közösségben, képernyőn innen és túl’ (Connecting with Nature – Young People Together, On and Off Screen), reference GYIA-KÖZA-25-0114. The project aims to involve young people in community activities that prioritise real encounters, shared experiences and a love of nature. The sixth Lúci Túra showed how healthy lifestyles, environmental awareness and a sense of belonging can be encouraged together.
Participants could choose from four routes of 5, 8, 18 or 30 kilometres, offering suitable challenges for families with small children, young people, older walkers and experienced hikers. The routes followed the Holt-Takta and passed through the natural landscapes of the Kesznyéten Landscape Protection Area, combining the enjoyment of exercise with discoveries of the area's distinctive natural heritage.
The event was opened by Siri Norbert, Mayor of Tiszalúc, who welcomed participants and then completed the walk with his family.
We wanted to offer meaningful activities for the youngest children as well as adults and young people. Preschool children enjoyed pavement chalk drawing, glitter tattoos and colouring activities, ensuring that every member of the family could find something to enjoy.
After completing their walk, every participant received a commemorative certificate, a gift pack and a badge made for the sixth Lúci Túra. Following a well-earned rest, a hot lunch, fresh lemonade and chilled fruit salad helped everyone refresh while sharing their experiences.
Many volunteers and partners contributed to the event's success. We extend our sincere thanks to the members of Tiszalúci Mesevár Alapítvány and our local young volunteers. Their help was essential to delivering the event to such a high standard.
We are also particularly grateful to the team who walked the entire route after the event to remove the marker ribbons. Their work helped us leave nature as clean as we found it. Environmental protection and responsible hiking are central to our association, and we were delighted to put these principles into practice.
The sixth Lúci Túra once again showed how time spent together in nature creates meaningful community experiences as well as relaxation. We hope everyone went home with happy memories and look forward to meeting again at the seventh Lúci Túra next year.
