Bakcsó Természetjáró, Természetvédő, Kulturális és Szabadidősport Egyesület delivered the Bakcsó Club Evenings in Debrecen through ‘Strengthening Active Citizenship among Young People in Csapókert’, an Erasmus+ project with reference 2024-1-HU01-KA154-YOU-000231435 .
Through varied activities, including film evenings and quizzes, young participants explored the core values of European identity, democracy and Active Citizenship in playful, informal settings. We paid particular attention to cultural diversity across European countries, including the distinctive character of the Benelux countries .
The programme's greatest strength was its ability to build community. Participants gained knowledge, new connections and shared experiences. The welcoming atmosphere helped turn individual interests into a real community.
The project aimed to help young people in Csapókert engage actively and consciously in local and European public life. The Bakcsó Club evenings provided an excellent foundation.
